Patriot HIM Update

GH from Set-Up Events called me this week to let me know that they had decided to let athletes registered for the cancelled HIM to register for any VTS sprint or Olympic distance race next year at no cost; or any HIM race at 50% discount. That makes me much happier than the previous refund deal.

I have no idea yet what my 2009 season will look like, but is nice not be forced into racing an event because you have a discount for it. The new Olympic race at Lake Anna sounds good for starters.

I know he felt bad for the athletes who got sideswiped by the turn of events and I think it is a credit to Set-Up for rethinking the refund so it benefits the athletes. So start making race plans everyone, we've got some thinking to do.
