I am finally feeling recovered, almost one year to the day that I became injured. That statistic blows my mind. Who willingly does this to them self? It has been a slow process but I can finally run consistently 5-6 miles for a long run and my pace is dropping too.
I am thinking about doing a running race, probably the 8K as it is a fun event. It will be my first road race in 18 months. I am also officially starting base training for next season on Nov 1st. The pool will be the toughest as the pool and I haven't seen each other since August.
Still I am optimistic that this slow build in distance and endurance, working on overall strength conditioning and backing off when I need to will have me in a good place next season.
And most importantly injury free!!!!!!

Yay! That's fantastic news! I'm so glad that you are feeling better and that you are slowly getting back into things. Sounds like it's just what the body needed! Good luck with the pool - remember baby steps there too!
