The TRIgirls rocked the Shamrock half and full marathon today. GO PINK!!!!
I am looking forward to my first race of the year, actually my first race since last August, in a few weeks. Unfortunately I don't think it will be a PR race for me this year. It has been a struggle returning to running and I am nowhere close to the fitness I need to run strong. Still my plan is get out there and do my very best.
Starting tomorrow I am going to try to 'eat clean'. Basically that means lots of fresh fruit and veggies. No processed or refined foods and lean fish and chicken. I am hoping this will jump start my weight loss and get me out of the rut I am in. It is not a huge change from the way I eat now just more mindful and less crap.
My cold is much better today. Taking a few days off from training has probably helped although I am fretting about not doing my long run. Next weeks run calls for 16 miles, so far my longest run has been only 11.5. It's going to be tough, I expect I will walking quite a bit.
The yoga DVD has still not been opened. I honestly have no idea why I can't make the time to do this. I am going to try and do it tonight.
