Anti Gravity Treadmill

Today I ran 1.5 miles at 50% of my body weight. The G-Trainer allows you reduce your body weight and run just like on a regular TM. It was pretty cool. Way better than pool running.

It is not something I will have access to all the time, once a week maybe, but I hope to use it to try to maintain some run fitness while minimally weight bearing. As you might guess I am not cleared to run yet so this is a good option for me in addition to the pool running.

Over the next few weeks I am going to have to think long and hard about my ability to do IMFL. Right now it's still possible, but at some point I need to be able to run more than one mile at a time.

That's pretty cool. Where'd you find such a gaget?

Teresa Stadler has one in her office that her patients can use. Not what I want to be doing but better than nothing.

I ran on it last month too and loved it! I am now addicted. I was using it for rehab, but am now using it for intervals. I was able to continue to train through my stress fracture and let it heal at the same time and didn't lose any fitness. I am better now and out of rehab, and bought a package of 10hrs from Dr. Stadlers office. I googled it and found that these are new there are not very many of these in the country, Nike has one and it looks like a lot of pro teams have them too, but thats it. Im sold!
