I have finally registered for Ironman Florida and training starts this Saturday. My overly long off season is over. It feels good to be focused on a race goal.
But with my lingering foot problems I am modifying my race schedule to accommodate a longer healing period. I cannot realistically train for a spring HM or HIM so they are out. I feel a gradual build in race distance over the summer will work best and still allow me to adequately prepare for the Ironman.
This. Is. It!!!!! The start of my Ironman year...Yippee!
